Don't stop at one view of Mt. Fuji
Where you stand changes everything about a Mt. Fuji photo. Our tour takes you to the lake that mirrors the mountain and the park where seasonal flowers fill the frame, one after the other on the same afternoon. We handle the driving and the timing. You concentrate on each other.
A second Mt. Fuji on the water
The highest of the Fuji Five Lakes and the only one that faces the mountain head-on. In calm hours the surface becomes a mirror, and we frame you together with the inverted Fuji. With nothing to block the view, this is where long veils and full skirts come alive in the wind.
Colour from seasonal flowers
Flower fields spread across the foot of the mountain. Tulips in spring, mustard flowers and poppies in early summer, sunflowers and zinnias in summer, cosmos in autumn. Beyond the fields, a willow-lined path and lawns offer greener, quieter backdrops.

How the day runs
A sample schedule departing from Yokohama. The first question most couples ask about a location shoot this far from the city is "how long will it take?", so here is the honest answer.
Departing from Nagoya
A sample day from Nagoya: 9:00 hair and makeup at the studio, 10:30 departure (about 3 hours' drive), 13:30 Spot 1, 14:30 Spot 2, back at the studio around 18:15. We start early to allow for traffic. Winter follows the same timetable; ask us if you would like an early-morning shoot.
Photos at Lake Yamanaka
A sandbar that lets you walk right down to the water, a tree-lined path dappled with light, and a boardwalk reaching out over the lake. Within a few hundred metres the background changes again and again. When the wind drops, we wait for the reflection.

- Best time
- Calm mornings, and the soft light of late afternoon
- Backdrops
- Inverted Fuji / sandbar / boardwalk / fresh green woods
- Outfits that shine
- Full skirts, long veils
Photos at Hana no Miyako Park
Flower fields on the slopes below Mt. Fuji. The flowers in bloom change with the season, so the same place gives completely different colours in May, August and October. Beyond the fields are a willow-lined path, a wide lawn and a garden terrace.

- Flowers by season
- Spring: tulips / Early summer: mustard flowers, poppies / Summer: sunflowers, zinnias / Autumn: cosmos
- Beyond the fields
- Willow path / lawn garden / around the greenhouse
- Outfits that shine
- White dresses, beige tuxedos, colourful kimono
Mt. Fuji Special Retouch
Mt. Fuji does not always show itself. If the summit is behind clouds on your day, or if you shoot in summer and would love a snow-capped mountain, we retouch your favourite 10 photos free of charge so Mt. Fuji appears as it should. It is our insurance against leaving your one shooting day to the weather.
Choose the 10 photos after you receive your files. No extra charge. If you would like more than 10, ask us.
Why book with us rather than a freelance photographer
A company with studios, start to finish
Seven studios in Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya and Osaka. The same company handles your enquiry, fitting, shoot and delivery, and can make your album afterwards. Nobody disappears halfway.
600+ outfits, with fittings
Wedding dresses, coloured dresses, iro-uchikake, shiromuku, tuxedos and montsuki. Colours and silhouettes that work in a wide landscape are different from those that work in a studio, and we advise you on what suits Mt. Fuji.
200 edited photos, not a handful
You receive 200 edited photos as digital files, not just "a few favourites". Use them for announcements, your families and social media. No extra charge.
Logistics handled
Which studio, what time to leave, the order of the two spots, the direction of the light. The hardest part of a Mt. Fuji shoot is the planning, and we do it. Hair and makeup are finished at the studio, so nothing is rushed on location.
Outfits that work at Mt. Fuji
Lake, sky and flower fields: in a landscape this wide, your silhouette from a distance defines the photo. Full skirts and long veils catch the wind. In the flower fields a dress with plenty of white holds its own against the colour. A kimono stands out beautifully against the mountain. We advise you at the fitting or online.

Questions about the tour
What if Mt. Fuji is hidden by clouds on the day?
The shoot goes ahead as planned. Afterwards, with the Mt. Fuji Special Retouch, we edit your favourite 10 photos so the mountain is clearly visible, free of charge.
Can we postpone if it rains?
Yes. You can reschedule for free as many times as needed. Please contact us by noon on the day before the shoot.
We are shooting in summer. Can you make Mt. Fuji snow-capped?
Yes, as part of the Special Retouch. Summer greenery with a snow-covered Fuji is a combination you cannot see in reality, but we can create it.
Where do we meet? Can we meet at the location?
You meet us at the Yokohama or Nagoya studio, where hair, makeup and dressing are done before we leave together. If you would prefer to meet at the location, ask us.
How long is the whole day?
From Yokohama, about 7.5 hours from 11:00 arrival to 18:15 return. From Nagoya, about 9 hours, as the drive is about an hour longer each way.
Will it be cold?
Lake Yamanaka sits at about 1,000 m above sea level and is roughly 5°C cooler than the city. Even in spring and autumn the wind can be chilly. Bring a layer you can put on between shots.
Where do we change, and are there toilets?
You change at the studio before departure. Both locations have toilets, and we show you where they are before and after each stop.
Can family or children join the shoot?
Yes. Please tell us how many people will come when you book so we can arrange transport.
